What To Do

Besides the party, there’s lots to do in Dutchess County. Here are a few of our favorites.

Restaurants

Le petit bistro

Rhinebeck, 16 minutes away

Enjoy craft cocktails, great bottle list, cask wine and draft beer.  Raw oysters in the chic, lively atmosphere at our serpentine lilac marble bar. Since 1986, Le Petit Bistro, an institution in Rhinebeck, has been a celebration of the French countryside tradition of local foraging, farming and butchering.

habitas-on-hudson

Rhinebeck, 18 minutes away

Giving the soon-to-open Soho Farmhouse a run for its money. Located just outside the charming village of Rhinebeck just two hours from New York City, Habitas-on-Hudson is a countryside retreat and playground for the curious with activities around adventure, learning and culinary experiences. Ideal for disconnecting from city life, our unique experience in the Hudson Valley offers a place to bathe in the synchronicities of nature and connect with like-minded individuals.

the Beekman tavern

Rhinebeck, 16 minutes away

A pub in America's oldest continuously operated hotel located in the historic Hudson Valley NY. Since before the Revolutionary War, the Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn has welcomed guests to the beauty of the Hudson Valley. The property has operated continuously since 1766, retaining much of its colonial charm and character, while offering modern conveniences to guests seeking a historic vacation.

Market St

Rhinebeck, 16 minutes away

Market St.’s wood burning brick oven, from which Chef Scappin’s signature Neopolitan-style pizzas are made, glows behind a long white marble counter. The elegant and rustic style dining rooms are dotted with antique finds and filament light fixtures. Driftwood pickled floors and cozy booths with Belgium linen banquettes create a convivial atmosphere.

An instant hit with locals and tourists, Market ST is always bustling with a breezy vibe. Sip specialty cocktails at the bar or dine on the patio and watch historic Rhinebeck go by.

Cinnamon indian cuisine

Rhinebeck, 16 minutes away

Cinnamon is located in the center of the Village of Rhinebeck and features a comfortable dining room with a large communal table, plenty of intimate seating, and the spice room—a second floor cocktail den serving small plates.

Bringing the flavors of India’s many regions to the Hudson Valley so our customers can explore the traditional dishes of our childhoods. We also offer inventive cocktails and modern plates that combine the authentic flavors, aromas and spices of India with contemporary American ingredients. Our menu relies on high-quality meats, dairy and produce, mostly sourced from local farms.

bia

Rhinebeck, 17 minutes away

The Rhinebeck restaurant brings Gaelic tradition, upscale comfort fare, and local ingredients to its quiet corner of Garden Street.

Open since spring 2019, Bia (pronounced bee-ya) brings a sliver of the Emerald Isle to the heart of Dutchess County. Named after the Gaelic term for alimentation, food, and sustenance, the restaurant is a passion project from proprietor and general manager Kyle Kelley.

barbaro

Millbrook, 16 minutes away

A modern jewel-box by the same owners as Market St, sitting on the corner of Franklin Ave. and Church St., the space exudes warmth and intimacy upon first entering the open dining room. Grand mirrors with antique gold frames, sportsman’s artifacts such as polo mallets and riding helmets, and sun-kissed terra cotta pottery pay homage to the area’s equestrian heritage while simultaneously referencing old-world aesthetics.

The Millbrook Inn

Outer Millbrook, 25 minutes away

In a building over 100 years old, set on a country road dotted with lush farmland and grazing horses,
you will find The Millbrook Inn: a serene retreat located in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Filled with authentic furnishings, high-end fabrics, and a mix of found objects and eclectic art, each of the rooms tells a unique story. They bring to mind an iconic American Colonial home, but are freshly reimagined with a modern twist. Each well-appointed accommodation features luxurious ensuite bathrooms and high-end modern amenities including complimentary WiFi. Every stay includes locally-sourced breakfast each morning.

Troutbeck

Amenia, 26 minutes away

A really well-designed estate hotel with pool, restaurant, tennis courts, etc. Troutbeck has served as an enchanting private estate, country inn and tavern since the 1700's and has for centuries, been a favored retreat of distinguished guests important in the arts, letters, matters of policy and social justice. During the time of the estate’s first owners, the Benton Family, it played frequent host to Thoreau, Emerson and the naturalist, John Burroughs.

This 130-acres estate features the 30-acre vineyard, trails and lakes. Wine tastings are offered daily, and the Vineyard Grill is open on weekends. Special events are offered year-round, and their annual summer Jazz concert series takes place on Saturday evenings in the summer. Millbrook Vineyards & Winery is part of the Dutchess County Wine Trail. The Loft, their rustic and elegant 1940’s style barn with soaring ceilings, is a charming location for weddings or private / corporate events.

Clermont Vineyards & Winery

Germantown, 22 minutes away

Featuring panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains, Clermont Vineyards & Winery, located in Clermont, New York, crafts fine wines for any occasion. We are a small family business, growing a variety of grapes on approximately 4,000 vines across seven acres of land.

More than a decade ago, we transformed a former dairy farm near Clermont State Park into a state-of-the-art vineyard. In 2014, we began selling our wines to the public. Our wines, except for three that we import from our cousin’s winery in Portugal, are made from grapes that we grow on premises.
